F1 2012 – PC Patch #9 News
Today sees patch #9 available on Steam for PC versions of F1 2012.
This update addresses the following issues:
The fixes listed above and those specific to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are also being tested and verified on those platforms. As these versions require additional submission and authorisation from both Microsoft and Sony the release date for these will follow a little later than the PC version.
We are working on other issues you have reported via the forums, Facebook and Twitter and are working to fix them as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please note that we are still collecting feedback via our Technical Assistance forums and do encourage you to post your issues there being sure to include as much information as possible.
Thanks for your continued feedback!

Thank you CM let's see what FPS we get, surely Hatta the mirrors are a factor in this, I noticed just earlier in a race I an see cars way back that I could not before in earlier patches, it would at least be good to ackowledge that, or accept the fact that FPS cannot just be compromised for that feature without informing us, or correct me if I am wrong, or tell us how to adjust it on PC. Pretty sure it must be stored somewhere rather than hardcoded surely ? it will save me time tweaking it myself and going through endless files looking for it, but I may end up doing so in the end if patches do not adeqately address it.
Let me remind you that Increased draw distance does not come for free without a hit. If you manage to claw it back to how it was before in terms of performance all well and good, but as it is patch 8 it was still pretty poor at times compared to release and up to patch 6.

Great news if the FF weight is steady now.
I got podagra and can't have it to high, but a little is great.
After a 50% race 1 hour ago it felt steady all the way so for me you can forget to edit more wheel stuff and really get it going for the jitter and kick some Steam *sses to get them remove the lobby lag!!! ![]()
1. May I ask if you considered telling CM about removing host's opportunity to cancel game start (like the last 10 seconds?) This will remove some of the lobby lag.
2. Also consider to load game files when entering the room - not after host countdown.
These two suggestions will remove as much lag from the game itself as possible - the rest are STEAM errors.
Please tell'em..? ![]()
3. By the way: The game "freeze" for 2-3 seconds reminds me of other games "adjusting game lag" - is this the same error??
Because if it is - why not let the best connection always be the game host?
The "real" host's settings could pretty easy be moved to run at the fastest line (must be rather small files)
Now that's 3 really great suggestions from your users - please let CM see these?
