Thinking back to F1 2011 (PC), there was a bug which meant the slip-streaming didn't work properly. Someone did come up with a fix, and suddenly the visuals would shudder (as intended) when making the move. Can anyone confirm it works properly this time, or if the shuddering should be there with this version anyway? (cannot access my games pc till later).
*EDIT* found it in The Ultimate F1 2011 Troubleshooting Thread'
"Problem: Slipstreaming isn't working!
Solution: When slipstreaming by following another car closely at high speed you will notice an increase in speed and a camera shake. If this is not happening you may be suffering from a bug which appears to be fairly common to wheel users. See this thread. The short story is, if you use a wheel, set the brake deadzone to at least 2% or greater to regain the slipstream effect."

It works, shudder and all. Also seems like the audio gets a little louder like you`ve picked up the other cars exhust note.(headphones really work for this game)
