What do you all think?

Personally, I hate them. It completely takes away the immersion that you are driving the car. You spend time racing in whatever view you choose, playing as the driver. Only to be whisked out of the car in the pitlane to watch a rather pointless animated cutscene of your car being worked on for 3 seconds.

It completely ruins the immersion aspect that we are the driver. Not to mention that Codemasters have rejected our appeals for more interactive pitlane controls. Understandably FOM will not allow us to drive the cars in the pits for safety reasons.

However any notion of being able to contribute to a successful pitstop has been removed by taking us out of the car altogether...

I like them from what I've seen so far. I doubt a 3 (ish) second cut away scene is going to ruin the game for anyone.

The cinematic views are a good idea, but to be honest, they have made badly. First, you enter the pit-lane passing to the cockpit cam, then cinematic views, then again cockpit cam and at the end the cam you were using... but why can't we have a pit-stop with only ONE cam view, with cinematic views as an option??

There's a gameplay of the split-screen mode, where I've seen one of the two players pitting: he was playing with the classic centred cam, and for the whole pit-lane and pit-stop, the cam didn't change. Why only in the split-screen? I hope this will be sort out

Some people are reacting far over-the-top about it. It's a little thing. Yes, it can ruin the immersion for some, but I am certainly not one of them. Once you're back on-track and through the first few turns on new tyres, you're back into already.  Quit the moaning.

I still haven't seen or read anywhere that there will be an option to turn this off . It looks like they have done a nice job with the cinematic cam in the pits ,if your into that sore of game play ,but I like cockpit view ,and would like to stay in this view when entering the pits , please let there be an option ,on – off .

I agree with you Matt. It does kill the immersion for some of us. Why can't we keep the view we're using already?

I think they look awful. It won't really effect how much I enjoy the game but I'm just really annoyed that CM bothered to spend time doing this because it doesn't add anything to the game and it's obvious that it was going to annoy the more serious fans.
