Very true. Gears of war3, Mordern warfare 3 also did this too. Its all downloadable now or built into the game menu. As you say eco friendly.

Here but it's not of much use tbh.
In case the link doesn't work, go to F1 2012 Store page and scroll down to the bottom of left side column and click on View the manual.
