Play on quick race mode and whip up the excel spreadsheets:
XBOX, Controller, Quick Race, 25%, Short-Weekend-Short Qualifying, Light Clouds, No Race Restarts, Quick Car Setup
Gearbox-Auto, Car-Damage Off, Rules Reduced, TC-Medium, No Racing Line, ABS on, Flashbacks-4, Cockpit View
no silly car arrows in OSD.
I've had this game now since Dec 8th and just completed my 5th season as Mark Webber. I came in 3rd in the overall points. I calibrated it perfectly for my driving style. I removed the patch and the AI is as follows:
BEL, JPN, USA - AI Intermediate
AUS, ESP, GBR, IND - AI Professional, Race Only
ALL OTHER TRACKS - AI Professional
So far I have been:
Season 1: Hulkenberg, Force India
Season 2: Button, McLaren
Season 3: Petrov, Caterham
Season 4: Perez, Sauber
Season 5: Webber, Red Bull
Season 6: Ricciardo, Toro Rosso
Hope this helps with your replayability. I plan to play all year this way. Cheers!

There is no "best way to play" the game, it is very personal. For example I destroy the field @ Professional so obviously Intermediate/Professional won't improve my experience. I regard 50% a better option (100% even better but I don't have the time). Car damage off? The damage model is silly enough, no need to completely disable it. If you could try to switch to manual gears - much more enjoyable, especially in low-tracktion zones. I sprained couple of fingers few days ago and right now I'm not enjoying it as much in auto gears. And I can't drive well in the quick car setup, even if my life depended on it.
The ABS is a questionable one, for me. I believe that if you practice with ABS off you eventually get much faster because you have to improve your braking but with a controller you don't have that much of a control over the sensivity. And there are turns that you just can't take faster with ABS off compared to ABS (at least I can't) like T1 and the bus stop chicane, both in Spa.

It is not possible to destroy the field on Professional with having to use the Quick Car Setup & Cockpit view on XBOX unless you're driving as one of the top guys.

50% has different results than 25%. Not comparable. If you're tweaking the car setup and not using one of the quick car setups, then I can race on Legend also that way.
I don't know why you post here when you race with different specifications!

Because said clearly WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO RACE WITH A CONTROLLER. I merely said that what's best for you is not best for absolutely everyone, like you said.

To me, game replayability & enjoyability is when I'm not always destroying the field. I create handicaps for myself to ensure that this doesn't happen.
