The easiest thing to do is update your graphic card drivers, as this sounds like they are out of date. Visit the Nvidia website and download the latest ones. Its easy, free and quick!

If that doesnt help, pop back and let us know

drivers are the latest version from the nvidia site. as is all the xp updates. bios, chipset drivers all updated regularly. i have changed the video settings so everything is set low but still the same. it only happens on some tracks like the hill climbs on levels 1 and 2. i think maybe its something the grafix cards cant cope with but not something i can turn off in the video settings. 7950 supports shader 3.0 so not that. seems to be the game tries to produce bright sunlight like the bloom effect in halflife 2 but whites out the screen. changing the gamma doesnt work, just makes the effect darker.
OS is windows XP service pack 2
mobo is asus A8N32-SLI deluxe (pci-e 2x16)
thanx in advance

Can you please post a dxdiag? This Tech Support FAQ will show you how to do this.

You mention that your PC is set to SLi formation? Can you try and disable this? Dirt doesnt support this and it *could* be the reason.
