Question hrt cars

i wrote this email to hsv/hrt:

The new video game V8 supercars Race Driver will not include the HRT due to
some silly sponsorship deal with EA sports. Does HRT know that they are
really hurting the V8 Fans and not EA sports if the hrt car is not included
in the game. The game is sponsered by Avesco and includes all of top teams
except hsv. As a hrt supporter i am very dissapointed that a small issue
such as sponsorship would get in the way of hrt supporters driving a hrt
car.

i know i am probably wasting my breath but i think hrt must think about
their most valuable asset - customers. By allowing their car on the game
this will encourage people to buy your car.

This is what they had to say:

V8 Driver, is created by a
software company named Codemasters. Codemasters work AVESCO and partner with
Ford. We have no control over which cars they wish to place in their games,
the choice to excluse the HRT cars are theirs not ours. I agree, launching a
game without all the cars is a little ridiculous, and the fact that the HRT
cars aren't there, considering our success over the past 5 years, is like an
F1 game without Ferrari in it. EA Sports, a rival company of Codemasters has
launched a game called V8 Challenge, which does include our cars, as well as
most of the other cars.

So what is with this codemasters - hrt have no problems with sponsorship - what is the deal

Something to do with copyright between EA Sports and Codemasters I believe. Hopefully some talented person will be able to either add in the HRT's ... or re-paint some existing cars to be HRT.

copyright pffft holden make the cars so unless EA are paying them a **** load of money, and seeings as in their reply to you they said it was stupid that their car isn't in there, it should be simple, but then again i suppose it sounds like getting pockets lined, eg they said that codemasters is working with AVESCO and have a deal or something with ford, altho there are other holdens in there!!??? what's the go there then hey.

Anyways if Codemasters read this then i reckon they need to listen to their customers and put the HRT team in, i mean they are going for total realism in this game aren't they, well i should say authenticity really.

BBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

CODIES PLEASE CAN WE HAVE HRT IN IT PLEASE. EA AND HRT HAVE BOTH HAVE DENIED PREVENTING YOU FROM INCLUDING IT IN THE GAME. TAKE THE EA SPORTS SPONSORSHIPS OFF THE CAR IF YOUR WORRRIED ABOUT PROMOTING A RIVAL (AND EXTREMELY CRAP) COMPANY. AS HRT SAID AND US IN THE FORUM HAVE SAID "ITS LIKE MAKING A F1 GAME WITHOUT FERRARI"

(Sorry all the Canberra race pushed me over the edge )

Codemasters do indeed work closely with AVESCO and we have an exclusive gaming partnership with V8 Supercars. With the exception of HRT, this includes all of the other teams, tracks and drivers that compete in the series. If it was possible, Codemasters would have liked to include HRT in V8 Supercars Race Driver. However, under the terms of our agreement with AVESCO, this to date has not been possible due to the existing relationship between EA Sports and HRT. If this position changes, Codemasters would be keen to include HRT along with all of the other competing Holden and Ford teams in future versions of Race Driver.
