Default Logitech Driving Force Pro?

Im using the Logitech Driving Force Pro (DFP) and have trouble in getting the the steering to work. The demo will only recognize the steering right but not left steering. Also the demo takes about a minute to start

I'm having the same problem as well with my game pad. I cannot assign left steering properly, it just keeps putting in Y axis with an up or down arrow. I've tried all suggestions so, I've just given up and uninstalled the demo. To be honest, it's so bad anyway that I'd give up after 5 minutes anyway.

Another trick is to set the steering for the left, have the wheel turned slightly right before assigning the button. Then turn left and it should work fine.

Worked for me.
