Lightbulb Give this a shot... (until Codies patch things)

Select browse sessions, then hit F1 (advanced)... I then specify sim handling (you may prefer pro-sim)

Return to main browse menu, select rated game and standard race

Now let the browser search (hopefully without CTD)!

Its all down to a wierd bug in the browser... If too many (>50?) servers are available using the search option you chose, it causes crash.

Thumbs up

Yes, i've got the same problem. It's a little bit annoying, but now i use to do following:
simply choose the type of race you want (GT, Open Wheel, Honda, ...).

That's it, it works.

you just need to limit the results that are returned from gamespy, so apply a filter that will get rid of a few servers from your search.

i usually just set the nationality to 'english', that'll rule out the servers which are far away anyway (and therefore laggy).

I had this problem to fix it turn your computer on and off 3 times. Then unplug your ethernet cord, and load the game. Plug your ethernet cord back in, and turn your monitor on and off six times. Now go and do what ever the **** you want cuzz it will all work. Hope this helps!

... don't forget to do a hand-stand while it's booting up for the 3rd time - that helped for me.
