We often play TRD2 on a lan with 4 or 5 people, great fun but do not like the "use another car to get round the bend, or use the car in front to brake", do you think you could penalise the offenders a bit more?, also the video replay you get in single player could we have that in multiplayer, even if it means just on the host machine?

i second all youve just said Jes, especially the replay, sick of being rammed of the track and all being denied and gloated over because they beat you.
also need to be able to change types of cars n tracks within the link without having to re-setup a new1 each time, or restart the ones youve just used. |

I agree as well but would also like to see the following (in reference to simulation mode)
1) There is no penalty for cutting across corners. In most places you can drive off the track about as fast as on the track. It is frustating putting in a fast legal lap only to see times much faster due to others cutting the corners - on some tracks this can significantly boost lap times and unfairly affect your final finish position (for those of us who try to stay on the road). It is also disheartning to do a chicane properly and be passed or rammed by those cutting straight thru (because they can). Cars should slow considerably or lose all traction at high speeds when off pavement. 2)Of late I have noticed that quite a few online players have employed cheats to make their car un-naturally fast. My understanding is this is done by modifying the car files. Many other online mutiplayer games employ anti-cheat code or software. Can or will the new game employ anti-cheat countermeasures? 3)Side by side racing is tough in almost all racing games since there is no natural way to see someone next to you. Can side mirrors be added to show cars next to you. While still using the inside rear view mirror for cars behind you. Using side view buttons in the middle of a corner race is disorienting and, at least for me, usualy results in mistakes on my part. 4)Will ping times be improved - it was hard in toca 2 to find races with acceptable pings and thus lag was an issue. We all know how frustating it is when you crash into someone else due to lag. Thought I would send some comments since I just found out there would be a new version. Comments above aside - I did enjoy playing Toca 2 in career mode and online against real people. The cars are fun to drive and the game has alot of diversity. |

another thing i`d like added, is that you can change the settings of your car in lan mode, the old toca 2 allowed it, but me and my mates have missed it, you can setup up the cars for time trial, so why not let us do the same on link up, please put this back in for race driver 3, we find the computer cars seem to stick to the road like theyre stuck in grooves, and damage doesnt seem to effect them either.
besides the niggling faults, RD2 is an ace game and its pretty much all we play on Lan |

How about this....
For every second your on the grass... is a second added to your finishing time.... They may finish 1st, but when all the time is added. They finish much lower. ??? this doesn't fix the chicane cutters but I reckon some sort of invisable LAUNCH pad is in order there ![]() Rammy |
