I have the same damn problem! Can't even start the game. I had the same problem with the demo. I ran DirectX diagnosis, everthing is fine. I emailed codemasters, their advice was to free up some disk space. STILL DOESN'T WORK.

This is the error I get:
D:\Games\TOCA\GameData\dhq_tex.big
Error 12

Ahhhh problem solved. Although I have a perfectly legal copy baught from GAME....the only way I could get it working was to download the cracked *.exe !!!!! The game works a treat now.!!!! Dohhhh Codemasters have such a buggy security system that the only way some legitimate Game Owners can gate the game working is to get the cracked *.exe...Stupid idots...get the irony of it!

I suspect that it is down to a CDRW/DVD/CD Combo drive, which by its very nature is not very quick due to the heaver Read/Write Heads,,,duno I had the same problem with UT2003 so theyu must be using the same system.
