Exclamation Frame Limiter

Hi,
I like playing Overlord, but there is one thing that is really annoying!
When I bought Overlord and installed the game and all, when I played it for the first time I noticed that the camera, movements, etc sometimes where stuttery.
I opened Fraps, and ran the game again.
I then saw, that the max fps was 30??!!
Why is this??! This is sometimes very annoying! The game feels on certain moments very heavy and sort of stuttery!
Is there a way to disable this frame limiter?
Or will there be a patch released?

Tnx

Diefkong, the reason no one replies is because some people who post on game forums and tech support, go on a rant, dont read the readme on the DVD, dont read the forums and end up repeating the same question over and over again just because the game isnt running properly, and because...

You havent posted ANY system specs.

You havent told us anything about what you have tried yourself (hardware wise).

There is no frame limiter in Overload, only whats on your PC that is slowing it down.. Old drivers, cluttered hard drive.

Older Console games, such as PS2 ports from PC have frame limiters, next gen games do not have them. We have the power these days (360 & PC).

When EVERYTHING in a game stutters its either your PC is too slow or your PC, registry, internet folder and hard drive needs cleaned up and is full of crap. Try cleaning up yourt PC hard drive first.

Tell us whats on your PC.

What the hell are you talking about weirdo :\
It DOES have a limiter!!!!!

Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz
Geforce 8800GTX 768mb
4 Gb Corsair (667mhz)

I have the newest drivers.
My PC pwnz every game there is! The only problem was that I could get an fps more then 30. So when you start giving comment about me not reading the readme file, maybe you should start by reading my post better :\

The game has a frame limit to 30 fps due to technical reasons (no explanation been made) and there is no possibility to "disable" this (because of technical reasons). This was made clear by a dev post.

that doesnt really make sense since you can set the hz in the config and you can also turn on/off vsync. why would they even add the features if they were just going to cap it anyways? something just doesnt seem right.

The frames are not limited to 30FPS. As I understand it, they are limited to a fraction of your fresh rate, so if you're playing with your screen at 60Hz, the game will run at 60, 45, 30, 20, 15, 12 FPS etc, depending on your system's performance and the complexity of the scene.

It's true the game does have a limiter, but 30 FPS is more than anough for any game, why? because you're eyes only see about 24 "FPS"... In example, a movie film in a theather is shown at 24 FPS, do you ever notice "lag" in a movie?...

yeah but your eyes do notice a change in fps. a movie stays constant normally within a couple fps. if you fps is stuck at 30 and then something big happens and suddenly drops to 20 or less you will most likely see the difference. allowing a higher fps just gives that headway since a drop from 120 to 100 should be less noticeable.
