This is suposed to be a grouping game but hardly anything in the game support it ,,
starting from chat all the way to mechanic of the game ... When talking about a game u need to ask yourself the most important question , why does someone buy this game and log in into it ... answer is simple to PLAY PLAY PLAY but turbine forgot that ,,, this is a game ,not a waiting room .... waiting to heal , waiting for someone to arrive , waiting to group ,,,etc sometimes you log in for two hours and yet you still never manage to finish a single quest why? Because its takes time to form a group , but once when you do ,, and fail on a quest ,, most of the people will recaal to different place and take an eternity to heal and come back, so those waiting will get bored and droped , in mean time while we find another player some more will get bored and drop and over and over .... this is when the major mechanic is wrong .... when you die you should not comeback without any health and spell points ... you should have some armour damage some penality on your stats or whatever , that does not make time to be waisted ,,,, game should be interesting and chalenging but not boring and made that you need all the time to wait for someone, or something to happen, to heal or come. thats why is called a game not a wait |

Funny, i'm really starting to wonder if i'm in the right forums. If it takes me more then 20 minutes from the minute i log in to the minute i have a group and in the dungeon(doing what i want to do) i consider it a slow night.
I see no valid comments in your post Bendr, would you care to re-evaluate what you are saying, and actually make a constructive suggestion. I think you will find most of your problems are from poor players rather then poor game. Usually for the groups i play with, we try to bind at the same inn before we start, then as a cleric i buy blue vials and heal myself and others pretty quickly while my mana regens.

2hrs without doing a single quest - theres something wrong clearly about how you get groups. Out of interest what server are you on?
Take a look at Naryas thread on finding groups - may be some tips there that may help you. How to avoide sitting and waiting for a group |

If I ressurected in a tavern with equipment damage comparable to starting with only 1 HP I would always run to a repair shop and that may take far longer and cost far more than getting HP back. Added to that the possibiliy of permanent damage to my precious sword-chucks would really decrease my enjoyment of the game. If ability damage is to be a comparable punishment they would probably change the restoration procedure so that you would have to finish the quest with lowered ability scores rather than just having a cleric cure it. Anyways some ideas to help you: Always talk to the tavern priest closest to the instance. Eat food and drink to regen quicker. Get clerics to use DV in tavern to help mages SP regen. I belive clerics get full turn with every tavern regen. Have a smaller group, its easier for 4 persons to come together without waiting than 6. Don't die, play smart, bring potions and don't think the cleric will always heal you A. |

I have no problem at all with the way the game works, I don't find long waits either.
Like MoxArken, I also find it unusual not to be in a group and on a quest after quarter of an hour or so. To avoid waits : - look for teams in taverns. - have a big Friends list then the instant you log on you can send a /tell to a friend and start sussing out groups. - join a large, active guild, then you can more easily get parties with them. - form a team, it's very unusual not to see people looking for teams on Boldrei. - there are many ways to avoid taking damage as well as to heal yourself or others, don't wait hours just for a cleric.
