Default Permanent Weapon Damage

400 Free Agent favour gives you access to a few "expert" repairers in Stormreach. Why cant these have a small chance to repair the perma-damage on weapons?

I suspect these expert repairers are rarely used except when they happen to be close to the quests (such as the guy in the Zawabi who is next to the inn).

I think this would at least make them slightly more useful.

How come there is only one Monopolies Commission?

That would, of course, defeat the point of permanent damage.

Binding and attuning the item using the stone of change is the preventative measure so that items don't take permanent damage in the first place: http://ddowiki.com/page/Stone_of_Change_-_Recipes

Along with increasing hardness and durability via the adamantine ritual.

I think the option is there - if you greatly value the item then bind and attune it to the character; if not use the expert repairer if you have the favour and in-game time; otherwise use the barkeep/vendors and take your chances.

I'm happy with the system as it is but can see the benefits of your suggestion and agree their usage is probably low. It would be nice if the favour system was enhanced in a few areas since it's been a while since some were implemented.

Fixed this for you.

On a sidenote, there are quite a few favor rewards that (by now) are a little out of touch with the current game. Healing potions dealing just as much (or even more for warforged) damage through CON-loss to a level 20-character as they cure would be my favourite.
