Default Drow Long Knives

How about implementing drow long Knives As per Secrets Of Xendrik?

they have the Crit range of a rapier but the Damage of a Short sword and my drow ranger needs one!

Crit range of a rapier? Damage of a short sword? Wouldn't that just be a rapier, then? 1d6, 18-20/x2?

Slashing I'd say.

In fact the "drow long knives" are shortswords that can be thrown like daggers...
That's the only difference with a shortsword...
For the moment in DDO a "drow long knife" is a shortsword...
(and it's a piercing weapon)

Before they introduce any such special weapons, I want them to introduce the most common weapon in all the battlefields of human history. The spear. Maybe a few of the core rulebook polearms too. That would rock.

I'm with Cornelius on the introduction of the spear.

Ya, I'm not sure sure why polearms weren't implemented with the initial release of the game. They already have weapons that can do glancing damage... it's just more reach that made them effective.
