Default Quests for achievers?

I have this idea for a quest series. Kind of based on the quest “kobold assault”. Some days ago I did it on elite with a group of mostly high levels (my lvl 9 was in the low end of the group), it was kind of a kill fest really, but something abve it stuck in the back of my mind.
So the idea would be a series of quests, all taking place in a big carven or large room or valley or what ever. Main thing is, there should be plenty of room to maneuver and things jump up on (thet the mobs can get up on as well) or take cover behind in the center.

On entry some kind of switch would be activate for a quest onslaught to begin.
Then the mobs would be spawned on the edges of the area and move towards the center. And not just one fixed spot, but from a random of say 12 spots around the area. As soon and a mob is killed it will re-spawn from a new random point.
The spawning would stop when a total of say 200 mobs had been spawned, and the quest end when 200 mobs had been killed. (Or it could be 100 or 500 for all I care).

The quests would nor really need any back story any more complicate then a test of the adventures fighting powers. And each quest in the series would have a different theme. Say kobolds with a few troglodytes throw in for the reptilian variant, and zombies and varies from of skeletons for the unearth variant, one with ogres and a few hill giants thrown in, and the more nasty ones, like rust monsters and beholders for aberrations, or even ones the various kind or reavers (flesh, fire, and cold).

It would be the perfect quest type for all thoughts “[insert guild name] did [insert quest name] on elite in [insert time]” type posts. Heck, make it so the top 3 fastest times would be saved and could be recited by the quest giver with a list of chars and their guild. Just for added bragging right!

Once you have the template, making a new quest of this in the series with a new theme of enemies should be easy enough.

True but the number of mobs there is rather limited.

Your idea reminds me a lot of Unreal Tournament's 'Invaders' modus IIRC
Could be lots of fun

In the mean time you can go for Desert Caravan elite
The points are not so random but it's a gorefest nevertheless. Would be even
more fun if they finally fixed scorpions
