Default SMS 4 a tell

Well, I have decided that i will no longer sit 4 hours at my PC with an lfg 4 a quest that nobody wants to play. That's why I ask TURBINE to send an SMS to my cellphone 4 every tell I get :P. The waste of time is simply no longer acceptabel for high lvls that don't want to loot and need only some quests on elite 4 favour.

I have to admit 4 hours waiting is not neccessary and an extreme.

Did you try LFM? Generally most people want to join a team and fewer want to start one. In practice it's much quicker to build a team than wait for one.

Try to do Shrieking Mines elite without guilt :P. And making an LFM, which I tried several times before, means I have to sit in front of my PC for hours, cause people expect to be accepted when they apply. Thinking about it again, my SMS idea starts to get serious.

The only 2 problems I see are:

1. Network charges for SMS messages, can they bill you for a message they sent?
2. There is an automatic logout if you are inactive for 30 minutes or more.

Well, depends on the prize :P. An the other side I pay a monthly fee and can't play as I want (and that's not only me). So if they want to keep me, they should find a solution that's not forcing me to waste more time, than I'm willing to do. And the forum isn't working. To few use it. If anyone has a better idea i'm eger to hear it. An ingame event registry might work, where I can register my request and others can flag. But I don't see anyting like that planned.

I'm not convinced the SMS will make any difference in that example.

The problem is Shrieking mines is it's got a pre-requisite (it's generally harder to get people to join in the middle of a quest chain). Adding Elite to the equation and it's not going to be easy to get PUG members.

I reckon on Lyrander it's probably possible to get a PUG for that. On Boldrei and Aureon I'd probably post something on the server forum.

I did. 2 replies. One from my guilt. But 3 don't make a party 4 that. And there are not that many using this forum.

I took a look at that thread. Looks like you waited 2 days for a full group.
Probably needs more advance notice.

Ok I don't deny that it is hard to get groups for certain quests. One suggestion might be to have a "Quest Channel" with people able to co-ordinate groups better. Something the LFM alone does not do well.

This gives the flexibility of being in a larger community without needing to rely on a guild.

Right, that's needed. Btw, one of the 2 replies was from my own guilt. I would propose to do it on WE if that would help. But it wouln't. We need something in game.
