BUG -> Katyuska mission: moving the train

Hi i got the game a little early today which was nice, however after playing through the russian missions i am pretty sure i have found a bug... ive tried all sorts of fixes but nothing works.

POTENTIAL SPOILER...

when i am moving the train from track to track at the end of the mission in order to get it out of the gate i get stuck on the switch at the shelter (the middle rail apprx) i back the train into the shelter in order to switch the direction to 'go straight ahead' and the man will not move the switch, seemingly because the train does not go back far enough as if the train is not there he will move it everytime.

i cant find a way round this and its very annoying, i believe this game to be one of the best i have ever played, hats off to the deveolpers but i urge you to ensure proper play trsting is done in the future.

if this is my fault and i can't see it i appologise but if not please supply a fix ASAP as i want to finish the campaign.

I believe OJDee had a similar problem a few days back on the same mission. Use DC to move off the points either by reversing or going forward.

I did this mission the other day so know it works

Can someone explain how to get this solved? I can't get the train into the building far enough either because of the stairs blocking the way. I tried blowing up the building with dynamite but it's invulnerable.

I think Zzzz has already solved it for you...

Get into the train and hit the End key or hold Ctrl. You are now in DC (Direct COntrol) mode and you can accelerate the train with the up arrow and reverse it with the down arrow. Just reverse it a little further into the building and you'll get far enough away from the points for the soldier to switch them.

Easy when you know how

(Which I didn't)

I've tried moving the train, and there seems more than enough room, but the soldier won't or can't turn the switch. Someone deserves the firing squad for allowing this to happen, and it is really annoying me . Direct Control will only get the train so far, as it can't get past the stairs at the end. All I get is a lot of steam and no action.

Other people have got past this point, but whatever I do it won't budge. I'll just have to start the mission again and hope something changes, as this issue should have been addressed with the latest patch,, but that would be too much commonsense!

I first crashed to train into the building with DC and let the other guy turn the switch. Didn't work because the waggon was destroyed.

Then i moved the train careful into the building with DC and let the other guy turn the switch. This worked !!

Do you have at least 2 soldiers ?

It always worked fine with me. Also, I have done it with only one person. But I did use Direct Control over the train the whole time. Just to let you know, I wouldnt use anything but...when controlling vehicles.
