Default XBLA SWOS: Decoding fake names

The names have been changed with a simple vowel substitution cipher...

A -> E
E -> A
I -> O
O -> U
U -> I

e.g La Tussuar is Le Tissier

Once you get used to it, you begin to do the translation in your head

^ the players had first names originally, not just initials

all the real names (and indeed other data) from the original 96-97 database can be found here
http://database.swos.info

for example, Aberdeen
http://database.swos.info/display.ph...EEN&sorder=nof
note: the incorrect 'formation' of '4-3-3' is actually how they line up in SWOS, with (IRL defensive midfielder) Kiriakov playing up front. This kind of nonsense is why the whole database needs to be replaced. all the data you see on this website is exactly as it was on SWOS 96-97, warts and all

hopefully we can play with edited customs online so people can just correct the player names for the few teams they use, using this resource. if they want to, of course

that could be interesting if any of the foriegn players were originally called Poss, Fick Cint or Shot

edit. just checked the database and found a georgia player originally called Shota, fortunatly that was his first name but this one could be a problem for them

MARTIN POSSE VELEZ SARSFIELD ARGENTINA
