Default Problems with playing online

As many of you who have already downloaded SWOS have noticed there is a problem with the online play in today’s release which unfortunately was beyond our control.

Microsoft are currently looking into a fix and will post a new download as soon as possible.

Unfortunately this means the version which was available this morning had to be taken down.

We realise you have been waiting a long time for this release already and you continued patience is appreciated.

Timeframe please??

You may appreciate our patience (which you've tried way beyond the acceptable), and you ca point fingers at MS for screwing this one up, we don't care. Give us a timeframe, are we talking hours, days, weeks, years?? When do you expect a re-release??

Codemasters, just make our P2P Amiga online SWOS version official.
It would have just been too perfect with a straight working XBLA version, there had to be a rub. Hmpf...

thought you was 'on the pop' today playa? congrats to your sis by the way.

this sucks, i genuinely feel sorry for the people that couldn't download it as at least the rest of us at least have a chance to play and practice a bit. but they should at least get a time frame from MS telling people when it will be fixed

We want our game, or at the very least a timeframe as to when we can expect SWOS to be re-released.

All the old timers here have been more than patient with Codies. It started with SS06 (which we had to patch ourselves), then came a looooooooooong period of silence from Codies regarding this game. Finally some info, and a release date. When aug 29th came and went with no SWOS, we actually defended Codies 8both here on other boards), saying take your time, just give us the classic game with online (and no lag) and we'll be content. No info whatsoever from Codies. Don't mind us, we're just paying customers, which you said yourself, you're relying on to promote this game by word-of-mouth.
Then finally we get offcial confirmation and press releases, SWOS is released and it's another bugged game.

I think we're entitled to be a bit p'ssed off.

I was on XBLA from before 9 this morning, logging off and on every few minutes until it came up... at which point i handed over my marketplace points straight away.
I want SWOS for XBLA as much as anyone and am ****ed off that i wasn't able to access the multiplayer functionality, but i understand how problems like this can happen. And to be fair to Codies on this specific issue, they have been keeping us up to date with any news as its become available (something which wasn't done when the August release data was missed).

My point was purely that I don't see much point in whining about the problem as it's evident that everyone is on the case and doing their best to resolve the issue. Other kinds of issues in the game such as the ripple effect with the goals are fair game tho
