Default What does westerness-beleriand-... etc mean

On some of the bows or crossbows you can like see the dmg it does in numbers and then stuff like common, westerness, ancient dwarf, beleriand.... What does that mean exactly?

thx

It means that these weapons will do some other form of damage.
As mobs get higher in level and elite they are more likely to be less vulnerable to common damage, and you need to make some other kind of damage to be effective.

It would be interesting to know what creatures are especially vulnerable to what kind of damage. Keeping the lore in mind I would guess that for instance the Undead in the North would be vulnerable to Westernesse weapons (like the Witch-King in the book), and maybe Beleriand weapons should be especially harmful to Orc-kind, seeing as they were the main enemies of the Elves of Beleriand. Still, some more certain info on this would be nice.

From what I can see the only difference is the glow effect. If it does more damage then it will say so on the actual statistics, i.e. Damage to Orc Kind etc.

Common, Fire, Light etc are the different forms of damage. And yes I do believe Undead are more vulnerable to light and animals fire.
