Default Here's a novel idea... release a newer gameplay vid with better lighting

It should be said that the game doesn;t look that dark in reality- we're not quite sure why it;s looking so dark in those videos, but it'd nto an accurate replefction of how the game's lit.

I tried watching this on my PC, downloaded the HD trailer from Gametrailers, then streamed it to my Xbox 360 on my HD TV using media center... The gameplay vids, both of them are way to dark and contrasty as everyone has mentioned.

Here's a thought RFT... if you know this is a problem, why not send gametrailers an updated gameplay footage that I'm sure is using a newer version of the engine, or send them the same footage, just color calibrated this time to not be so dark...

Seems a bit obvious to me...

The first video gameplay exposure to the general public you get out there in front of people and it leaves this as an impression...

Fans had to come on this forum, and get the official response... uh, we don't know what is up, but yeah its dark...

This needs to be solved. Not a good PR move.

Here is an extra idea I'll throw in for free... put some gameplay vids on the official website! Game is going to be out in 6 weeks or so?... counting...

Gotta be said, I really don't get what a lot of you guys want in a game sometimes.... You clearly want stuff I don't 8-/

As far as I am concerned, this is the best looking driving game I have EVER seen on any platform. It's simply gorgeous!

Sure, the damage is naff (but it is the 360 version<shrug>) and the pilock playing the game is clearly a blind, one-handed gibbon, but it looks simply stunning.

RFT, if we get visuals like that on the PC verion I will personally buy you a crate of beer!

Personally, I don't care about authenticity of engine sound. If it sounds like engine, it's good enough for me. I am much more concerned about actual driving experience, especially car handling and damages.

Of course, I just as well concerned about that myself, but I also like to hear as I'm driving the actual car

Looks like someone at Gametrailers got a nasty phone call - they pulled down the vids lol.

You better be able to change to Nicky Grist in options, otherwise thats one less customer.

Is this the reason its coming out in America first, even though its developed in the UK? What a kick in the shins, as per usual.
it looks preety bad when its not in HD but i have an HD screen and it looks great

Engine sounds are all part of the immersion...
If theyre not good, it takes away from the game.

We can't just (sadly) spin off videos at the drop of a hat every time some website does somethgn with a preview disc they aren't supposed to. we did not produce or endorse these videos, gametrailers did.

yeah, which is why we didn;t want videos taken from that old code - the game at that stage still wasn;t reliably running to speed, for one thing.

Not being privy to how GT process thier videos, we don't know why they're dark. we merely know that they're darker than they should be. again I reiterate these are not official videos.

well yes, we'll be doing gameplay videos along those lines as soon as we can.

possibly within a week- stay tuned.
