I'm also assuming you bought a console game because the most you would have paid for a PC one would have been £24.99 . . .but at £39.99 wouldn't it have been better to get a hard copy ?
I find it hard to believe they don't like Metaboli given that the main game site directed you very strongly towards there on release date.

I did try to get a retail copy the day of release, but nowhere locally had it in ( leamington spa, right where Codemasters are based I believe hehe ). I had a bunch of people coming round that evening, and I figured it might be nice to have, so I paid a *huge* premium to essentially get it a day earlier than otherwise possible. Oh and yes, it seriously did cost £39.99 for the digital download on release day. For PC.

Still no 1.3 patch on Metaboli; staggering really.

Hopefully Dirt 2 is available on Steam, I F**ing hate having to put the DVD in every time and I'm rightly wary of Metaboli at this point.

If I was you, and I lived near their offices, I'd be round there kicking up a reet feckin stink about it. What a joke this is for you guys. We need you guys on dl'd versions to populate the servers, because there isn't many playing 1.3 at the mo.

Have you sent any private messages to CM or meta by any chance?

On October 30th I had the following reply from the Gamesplanet support guys:

------------------------

Thank you for contacting the Gamesplanet customer service

In response to your query sent on 30 October 2009, please find below the requested information.
We have already forwarded a patch request to our packaging team, but however due to grueling testing procedures and a high rate of games being delivered each week, we are not always able to bring you the latest patches the day they are released for retail versions.

Unfortunately we cannot give you an estimated date for the release of the patch, but we have asked them to proritize it for next week.

We hope the workloads will allow them to meet our request.

Thank you for your understanding,

Best Regards,
Marco

It's been now more than a month since the 1.3 patch was released for the PC-DVD version, yet there's still no clue of when will the Metaboli version be released. It's been two weeks since your response. I've decided to not buy another game from you in the future, since this company doesn't seem to be able to provide adequate support to the games it sells.

------------------------

I think eventually they'll release the Metaboli version, but by that time the community will be dead or agonizing and I won't be able to enjoy this game online anymore. It's a big shame. Codemasters should cancel its partnership with Gamesplanet for good.

Gamesplanet/Metaboli has finally posted the v1.3 patch!! Here a repost of my post:

Only took over 5 weeks to get it posted.

But before you try installing the v1.3 patch, I would make a copy of your v1.2 GRID folder. Because after installing the v1.3 patch, there a chance GRID may not start or start and not run well.

If GRID don't start after patching, you may need this file if GRID say it missing:

Or you may need to add this command to your GRID shortcut to get GRID to start:

"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\GRID\GRID.exe" -novirtual

If after doing these things and GRID still don't start or not run well, you may have to go back to your copy of v1.2 GRID.

Flatout Joint where the mods are.

Offline play is for a few weeks, online racing for a year if done right!

Better to loose with honor then win in shame

Swap Intel Dual core 6400 for a quad 6600, 6GB ram, swap out the 2 8800GTS 320MB for a 4870 1GB, X-Fi sound card, MOMO and Vista 64-bit SP1.
