Burglar PvE / Raid Specs

The few high hitting skills are very high on criticals. Where as crits from alot of champ skills are also very high. Its not about outdpsing wich you wont. You will have some skills that deal more damage but you wont outdps champs in long run cus there is always certain factors playing in...

In almost every PUG turtle raid I am in I as a Burg can take aggro from everyone else.
I dont have the best gear (1st agers, VM set, and some crappy jewels). I have Traited 5xMM, 2xQK and I still can do it. But if a Champ with similar/better gear who knows how to play comes along I dont have a chance anymore (Like in my kin runs). Note that I do not have Positional damage multiplier on my tools, if I had then maybe I could outdps even better Champs.

I think ill give up. There is no point in explaining that theres a difference in the burgs high hit skills (wich arent that many) and the champs constant dps output. You having a champ and burg should know that tho...

I base my claims on personal experience. If the burglar is never ever meant to do more DPS than a champion can, Turbine should go ahead and fix some of us.

I once joined a PUG turtle as my Burglar (with 2 Champions and a Guardian) where I main tanked the turtle until half morale, at which point I died and the aggro went to a Burglar friend of mine. Bear in mind that as I had aggro all the time I had 0% positional damage.

However, in my kin turtle runs the turtle never looks at me, except for 1 time where for a period of about 30s my crit chance seemed to be at 70%

Personally I think there's hidden threat modifiers on some Burglar skills. I watch my damage carefully, yet at times seem to pull aggro when I really shouldn't be (i.e. attacking the mob from the front and not critting anything...).

I have a Burglar/Champion, both pretty much maxed out, using first age weapons and my Champion is quite far ahead in damage output. While I agree that if everything crit my Burglar would be slightly ahead, the chances of that happening are slim to none (plus I'd probably pull aggro if everything crit, meaning a drop of about 60% damage).

Hey Im just stating facts. In most PUG raids I can outdps champs in single target on my burg. But when the champ knows how to play and have good gear I dont have a chance anymore (unless maybe if I change my traits to QK). And the champs DPS will double and more when more adds come, while the burgs will stay the same. The champ can DPS forever without running dry on power while burgs cant, I've already said that. I do not play my burg as a DPS class, if I want to DPS I play my champ. But Im just saying, in Singletarget DPS burgs are really close to champs in DPS. Unless ofc there is some hidden aggro **** with burg skills.

Id say rather find out why your champs have such crap dps output then. Is it scared of the repairbill?

How can you figure out our champs DPS output from what I have said up to now? Lets take a look at what I said on this matter, on my previous posts. Because you obviously are misunderstanding something.

Nowhere did I claim my DPS is always higher than champions. I do good DPS. The champions I group with do better DPS. But sometimes, I can do more damage than a champion can. It happens.

Just because a burglar can sometimes do more DPS than a champion doesn't mean the world is going to come to an end. After all, burg is not a dps class. Champs will always do more damage overall.

You seem to not get my posts either. Cus i also never said you said your dps is always better. All i know is for a fact that you will never but i mean never outdps a champ...

You say sometimes its lower and sometimes higher, well ofc thats your high hitting skills not your overall dps. theres a difference there.

Btw not hard to figure out your champs there dps output. If you say is true and you do sometimes outdps them it must be their just not 100% awake or something else but hey not for me to judge since i dont know your champs.

Best way to know is to have both classes and actually play em both alot, then you can see the difference...

No. Sometimes the champ sucks, sometimes their gear sucks and sometimes both. In a 5min fight like the turtle burst damage doesnt matter, here its about overall DPS, not just the high hitting skills.
