13/10 - GRID PC 1.3 Patch Now Available - Page 11

ok ... downloaded the DVD version ... installed and enabled with s/n original ... applied the 1.3 patch from codemaster site....the game start without the dvd inside!!!and i dont use the no-dvd....

Now even I can ri-start having fun!!
but... have changed the settings of the machines!
I think that the gear ratios are different ...

Wasn't that a feature of previous patches, that you'd get this no-disk thing?

I think too. when I uninstalled grid at the end when it asks if you want to keep the save file, I've kept them and maybe that's where there was this "no-disk" ...

the important thing is that now I can play with friends, facing GamesPlanet that still have not made the patch available

The DVD version does not have a serial number. Patch 1.3 does not remove securom. You are playing a cracked copy.

ok, but I haven't used the crack that was in ISO of the game and even the no-dvd ...

U want to say that ISO had already Craked?

if it is, when metaboli-gamesplanet exits the patch I reinstall my original game!!

and now we are on 30/10/2009 and nothing new from metaboli-gamesplanet about patch 1.3!!!(18 days or 14 working days how u prefer)

i think that i must use the dvd version maybe till exit grid 2...that i buy from steam or in dvd version...but for sure not from gamesplanet!!!

It's almost a month now since 1.3 was 'released' so why am I still waiting for it to be done for metaboli?

Really whats the hold up?

Anybody reading this post and has check the link above and there no v1.3 patch, please send off an email to gamesplanet and ask them why there no v1.3 patch. ( who knows, it might be there tomorrow )

Dantski, have you emailed gamesplanet and if so what was their reply about the delay?

Since I did not buy GRID from gamesplanet, I only got this email:

Unfortunately we have not been able to locate your order with the details you have provided.

So gamesplanet did not tell me why the v1.3 patch is not posted yet.

Helios, can you tell us what up with metaboli\gamesplanet and the v1.3 patch?

I think CM screwed up in Grid when it came to patches & multiplayer. Problem is that once you update those who DON'T have that patch aren't compatible. And updating requires manual installation...

Now seems like multiplayer sessions are virtually dead. Used to have 2-4 open wheel sessions going on at same time. After update not one? And very few sessions overall. Guess most players just haven't updated...

If they make updates to make different versions uncompatible there really should have been automatic updater from the start :-/
