Default Just for fun

Just for fun, what would you like to see most in Grid 2 (assuming that CM make it)

I'd love to see the penalty system as discussed in another thread, aswell as being able to view other players during replays in SP mode

oh, as well as the backwards thing being sorted out (except in Derby, its good as it is)

oh, and more derby cars and tracks, dont ask for much do i!

More derby cars and derby tracks and derby pits.

How about a semi for a derby car? We have fun with Heddly's Ford CLT 9000 in Flatout 2.

On the racing side, what interesting new tracks and cars could Codemasters bring to GRID 2?

How about a 1973 Nova SS or a 1970 Chevelle for a muscle car.

And for a touring car maybe a Ford Fiesta ( like the Pepper in Flatout 1 ), and beef it up a little like the Mur Pepper:

Flatout Joint where the mods are.

Offline play is for a few weeks, online racing for a year if done right!

Better to loose with honor then win in shame

Swap Intel Dual core 6400 for a quad 6600, 6GB ram, swap out the 2 8800GTS 320MB for a 4870 1GB, X-Fi sound card, MOMO and Vista 64-bit SP1.

Here's my list. Any of these elements that could be implemented would be a major bonus, and if all of them got put in GRID2 could well become the greatest racing game of all time!

Longer GRID World Championships.
More than just three races per cup, and the option to have more laps per race. This goes for online mode as well. Perhaps up to 20 or 25 laps for the major sim fans. Natch, the current options would still be selectable too for those who prefer a more arcade experience.

Qualifying, Pit Stops, and Penalties.
All optional, with the abillity to turn them off for those who don't like them. The penalty system is being discussed in another thread, as Bubbles said, and a pit stop strategy could be worked out in advance of the race, to prevent you and your teammates coming in on the same lap. If these could be implemeneted online too I'd be ecstatic.

More Options in the Racing Team Feature.
For starters, the option to hire up to two teammates, and select which of them to race with you in a championship. Also, some events (like LeMans) that allow all three cars to race at once.

Secondly, the option to set parts of your car's team livery to different colors to indicate which driver is in the car. This would be done on the same system as choosing a standard livery - you'd select the areas you want to color, say the wingmirrors and windshield strip, or the front bumper and rear spoiler, then select a different color for yourself and each of your teammates.

Thirdly, team orders and in-race commands. At the beginning of the race you can set primary, secondary and tirtiary driver among yourself and your teammates, and they will drive accordingly - if they are primary, they will push hard and expect you to give way when they come up behind you, tirtiary will make them hang back on your tail and try to support you as you go for the win. Then when actually in the race, you have the option to give commands to your drivers by pressing buttons (perhaps on the Dpad of a controller). Up makes them push harder and take more risks (with three different levels - press up three times and they'll go completely all-out), down makes them slow down and play it safe (also three levels), left makes them sit on your rear bumper and block overtake attempts, to take the pressure off you (only one setting there), and right makes them pit in outside of their prearranged schedule (to fix damage, get out of traffic, etc). If you have two teammates on the track at once, another button could switch between the two, and the orders would be sent out only to your currently selected TM.

A Race Win for a Teammate = A Race Win for the Team.
You should pick up trophies in GRID World for team performance, not individual performance. It shouldn't matter whether you cross the line first or your TM, your team should still get the credit and you should still get the trophy for your display case. This would work in tandem with the expanded team options mentioned above.

A More Realistic Replay Mode, with Television Style Cameras and the Option to Select Which Car to Watch (Including AI).
I don't particularly like the quick-cut unrealistic views. Also, the option to turn music off for the replays!

Reallistic Blowouts/Engine Faliures for Both AI and Players.
The number of times AI drivers have had blowouts in races, then just set off again as if nothing had happened. And the number of times the guy on the radio says 'Someone's blown their engine!' then there are no DNFs at the bottom of the pack when the race finishes. If someone has a mechanical faliure like this, it should be an instant retirement, not a rejoin! Also, these elements should affect the player occasionally too, I'd love to be roaring down the Mulzanne in a 787 then my tyre suddenly gives out at 250mph

Longer Text Entry Box for Team Names.
Some of the team names that are in the game already wouldn't fit into the box we get to add our own, how is that fair?

Ditch the 'Elastic Band' AI.
This is a big one. Elastic band AI may keep the racing close, but it's far from reallistic, and can often be quite annoying. I'd rather see a reworked and more challenging AI system that actually drives well than one that slows down or speeds up depending on my performance. If I'm good enough to pull away from the pack into the lead, I want to be able to do that, not to drag the AI drivers with me on a string!

AI Drivers in Online Multiplayer.
I know this would be nigh-on impossible to implement, but if it could be done to flesh out the grid and add a little more excitement, it'd be fantastic

So yeah, those options would get my vote. As I said above, I know we likely won't see all or even many of them, however any that were implemented would be a big bonus^^
