True, but when anyone anywhere else asks about this game I give them and ear full. Word of mouth can be brutal. GJ CM, GJ!

It always amazes me when game companies don't run beta tests to get community feedback before releasing a game.
It would be simple to do and they would have free input with problems and ideas for improving the game and assuring a smooth, finished game on launch.
Sure there would still be some issues, but nothing like those that exist in this game.

Dragon Rising is the beta and unfortunately, gamers are paying to test this game for Codemasters.
I would be surprised if this game is ever fully fixed and finished and it will never be sustainable without a dedicated server and some form of anti cheat system.
SADS is a must for multiplayer.

Had to LOL at some dude in America who posted in $60 cheque to DICE as a thank you gift for committing to dedicated servers - he stated that it was money he was going to spend on another game but decided not to because they announced they aren't going to support dedicated servers.

Google - 'thank you to Eddie J'.

(I can't post links).

Its such a simple formula... no dedi servers = no MP. I think we need to draw a picture and show it to the cat - cause the cat is going to get it.

Unfortunately though its all to late posting in here begging for them or holding out hope they will decide to introduce them. Codemasters is a business, they exist to generate profits for their owners not to benefit gamers.

Can anyone actually provide a business case of why it is worth them investing probably hundreds of thousands of dollars in development costs to rework the game to include anti-cheat and dedicated servers? I doubt that the introduction of dedicated servers in a month or two's time will re-generate lost sale opportunities and even if it does it won't be in the quantities that will recoup the costs.

Its a no-brainer, they made their money, now they patch it up a bit, introduce some DL campaign content for free at first then at a cost moving forward and that is the future for the game. They move the majority of the dev team onto the next project and focus on that.

@Gumz

Love the way you can still see the tail on the 'y' from "Infinity Ward's".

Edit - Apparently, there's not going to be any 'lean' feature in MW2 now. "The game is not balanced for lean" according to IW. Ha ha! Remind you of another game (before anyone argues that this is offtopic material)?

If OFP: DR was beta (actually I think it was quite polished at release), the ARMA2 was pre-alpha!

That's quite true, but at least their patches were fast and substantial.
