Mega Drive Naming Convenstion for Database ?

Do you think they would ever change to that style or is that asking too much ?... considering they can't even choose the right version to upload.

I never thought the scrambled names would be a problem being a long time PES fan... but seeing the ones in SWOS it was a total shock how badly they were done. No-one resembles anyone at all.

The way the names were scrambled in the Mega Drive version of the game were better as people were still semi-recognisable.

When you think that trying to remember who played for who back in 97 is bad enough... they scramble the names beyond recognition and it makes it even worse.

Sure they do.

Basically, what I have seen is that the Vowels in the names are switched to another vowel.

For example: Peruzzi is now Paruzzo. Del Piero is now Dal Puari.

There isnt any definitive scrample (if it was an "e" before, now its an "a", for example) but I am pretty confident I could name 90% of the players from the top leagues in the WORLD.

Ive looked at Italy, Juventus (Bianconeri), Blackburn, Barcelona, and I know who they all are... and for the game to be the price it is, its something we have to put up with.

In the mean time, just edit them and have a custom league. Ive edited all my favs, so its all good (although I had to put C. Zanetti as a 4.5 star, which isnt really accurate. hehe.)
