I wish they would say for sure if the wrong file was posted and it is just a matter of getting the correct one released or if this was indeed the correct file and these bugs were missed. It would seem the second is going to take a lot longer to resolve than the first.
Guess I should have downloaded the game before work - at least I could be playing offline between crashes. |

Well, to me this just beggars belief.
I run a big website that is devoted to running competitions and leagues over Xbox Live. Unfortunately, I am already more than familiar with Codemasters appalling PR department. But speaking with my webmasters hat on - the contempt with which publishers these days treat the paying public just beggars belief. First Konami with the debacle of Pro Evo, and now this. It hits our website hard - our members our getting disillusioned with football on the 360 full stop. We used to have 50+ members in our pro evo league for 2006 version, from all over the globe. We are down to only thirty for this version and half of those are talking about ditching the game. SWOS was going to be the game that revitalises our site for football (other genres are going strong). Now because of this ridiculous situation our members are talking about not purchasing - and to be quite frank I don't blame them. It has happened with so many games that they are just borked - Mad Tracks being an example. Ok so Codies are going to fix this but when? If it REALLY was the wrong version then just upload the correct version. How hard can it be? If I was really cynical, I could say that Codies have "done a Konami" otherwise known as releasing a knackered game so they can profit from it. Only this time, the outcry was so great they had to pull it. As a gamer who forks out his hard-earned I am heartily sick of these situations. These are meant to be professional people. I don't see much profesionalism in todays events. |

I'm now hoping that it's the wrong build and they're trying to fast-track the correct one through MS red tape.
The absence of the commentary from the PC version (which was meant to be in, right?) and presence of several other large bugs would also support to the 'wrong build' theory
