Default Halflings

I've noticed soemthing about halflings, they have the 'small creature' bonuses, +1to hit +1ac, etc, but they don't appear to have the main penalty, smaller weapons. My crossbow is doing 1d10 just like a medium creatures one, so I presume all weapons are unaffected. Should be fun when monks are added

I think its a good choice, -2str and 3/4CC is pretty hefty in a game with so much loot to carry around and the lot of poison traps (Redfang anyone )

Pretty hefty?

hey, a character str 10 should carry around 35 pds - not 280.

VOTE: PRO D&D 3.5 carrying limitations!

Hope they atleast scale down the halfling weapon damage. At present their damage is too high compared to the bonuses they have.

True Philleas. People often create str 8 chars since they can carry almost anything they want with it. Heck I have even suggested a str 6 rogue ranged (xbow) ofcouse. Sine str has no impact on that at all. But scalling it down to the amount of the PnP rules well I find that abit too much Unless I can get a bag of holding

Why?

Because you have to leave the Red Dragon Scalemail +5 behind, 'cause you
cant lift it?

What you can't lift - you can't use either.

hmmm...
weapon-damage? aye - halfling weapons? yes please - Sizes for Armor? Yeah.

---hm...but i think the developers have better things to do....

The game is supposed to be fun above all. Most DM's don't even keep track of player encumberance on PnP D&D because it's boring and takes away a big part of the fun. (though players don't go around carrying 7 sets of weapons and armors too)

yes halflings should get the weapon size thingy, seeing a halfling with a greatsword isnt a pack of cookies i want to eat.

Right on the money. I never was a number cruncher when it came to encumberrance and if I were then I trew in a bag of holding.

As the players handbook and DM guide says. They are guidelines. Use what you want and play a game that is fun.

In the end you can just play your char as having a weight limit of well what your str is. I know I will never reach the weight limit, but who has ever heard of scrolls taking up a huge part of you inventory.

Str 6 would give you -2 damage on all those Xbow attacks. Hope no-one took up your suggestion.
