Default WF Multiclasser advice

I'm thinking of doing a WF multiclasser.

I was thinking of a Barbarian/Wizard, the wizard part using buffs ( such as shield ) and the Barbarian part for combat and hitpoints. I'd probably take 2 or 3 levels of Wizard.

Stats I was thinking of were

STR 15
DEX 16
CON 16
INT 12
WIS 6
CHA 6

This would be for Mithril Armour. Maybe I should go for Admantine and reduce dex to 10. I'm not sure on Barbarian, would Fighter or Ranger perhaps be more sensible?

Wis of 6 will really hurt my Will Save. However Warforged seem to be immune to most status effects that require a will save.

Problem of Adamantine body is that you'll have a high spell failures... 35% (can only be reduced to 20% for the moment with "Warforged Inscribed Armor III"). More, the DR of adamantine body doesn't cumulate with barbarian DR.
Mithral body spell failure can be entirely avoided.

They have a lot of immunities but 6 is really too low.
It won't make a great difference at low level but at a high level, your immunities won't work anymore...

Your build could be cool for solo but it will be difficult for you to be effective as a pure barb and to group even if you can heal yourself (cause in fact when fighting, you can't really heal yourself)

Did you know that WF pallies can heal themselves?

How so? I believe the immunities remain, even if you do take a level.

Yes you're right but at low level chamans cast "hold person" and you're immune when at high levels they cast "hold monsters" and you're no more immune^^
(just an example)

Warforged are immune to paralysis according to the compendium and not hold person. My warforged has only just hit 6th level, so can anyone confirm the hold monster effect?

Barbarian is best pure.

Wizard3/Fighter X. Wizard lvl3 can cast Blur.

Mithral Body.

Stats:
STR 16 (+1 at 4,8,12,....) .. solid 24-28 with items/enhancements/buffs
DEX 14 ... 18 with +4 item, 20 with tomes/5 items -> +5 dex bonus, just enough for Mithral body
CON 14 .. 16 with WF enhan, 20 with +4 item
INT 12 ... no need for Int item to cast spells
WIS 10 ... Will Saves are good
CHA 6

Take Stunning blow, and WF and Fighter Combat Tactics as enhancements.

Since you already got the Int, i suggest taking Expertise and Improved Trip on top of Stunning Blow. I'd also rather take a fighter to mc and splash in 2 levels of wiz (same BAB than 11/1, but longer spell duration) or even 4 if you want level 2 spells. Barbarian is better left pure, repair wands wouldn't help you very much anyways and you can take potions aswell. As fighter, your HP total is lower and you take less damage (slightly higher AC and you have the feats to go for a tactical fighter).

One thing sure is that you can use your "hold monster" spell on the WF of VON4...

And I don't want you to do PvP, i suggest you to go in a pvp area to cast this spell on a WF friend^^
