Default Found a solution for steering lag and that annoying oversteer!!! (hopefully :-p )

My first post, I hope you will find it VERY useful ... Anyway, to disable that annoying steering lag, that gives trouble to pretty much all the people around here, do this simple steps.
1. Download Coolbits (just google for it).
2. Merge coolbits_forceware.reg file into the registry.
3. A new option will become aviable in Nvidia control panel, under Performance & Quality settings (Additional Direct3D Settings). Just change the Max frames to render ahead to 0.

(Note: This works only on old Nvidia CP, which i prefer, anyway...)

And thats it! Works perfectly, even on my 6600 GT. Keep in mind, this DOES NOT affect the framerate, which even may go down with a very tiny amount, it just affects that annoying lag, removing it COMPLETELY, making the game MUCH more responsive and playable. I did this with Oblivion, tried it on DIRT and it WORKED. There is probably a way to do this on ATI cards, but this only works on Nvidia. I am using Logitech Rumblepad 2 controller, but i think this will work on ANY controller, even on keyboard.

Enjoy!

Note: This does NOT work on 1xx.xx series drivers, or on 8800 cards. You`ll need Rivatuner to make it work. See this guide http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_13.html , its for Oblivion, but that doesn`t make any difference.

Steering lag / pointer lag generally just means that you are struggling for fps - as performance drops, so does control responsiveness. I have used render ahead 0 myself in Oblivion, but in general lowering your settings (if possible) will make life easier.
