BSOD on game exit

i have been getting blue screen when quitting the game back to windows.

the error code i get is stop: 76

i have done a good bit of research on this issue and it comes down to video driver related issues. it seems this is a very common problem with my build, but i am only getting the blue screen with this game. i have a few other games on the system and they work fine. overlord 2 works fine too, just when i get ready to exit the game it BSODs on me

my specs:
vista x64 sp2
evga x58 mobo
intel core i7 920
6g tri channel corsair dominator
nvidia 260 ftw
thermaltake 1200w psu

let me know if crash dump files are needed and ill be happy to upload those or anything else you may need.
