PC & 360 price difference?

I tried out the 360 demo and fell in love with it...so I went to go find the release date and noticed that the PC version is $40 while the Xbox version is $60...

Have they said anything about this? why the huge price difference?

Because someone set the mark for other companies when they started pricing their games 60$?

To my knowledge PC-games have always been cheaper compared to console games (although there's some that are also 50$ or 40$, rare though).

$60 is the standard for 360, and $50 has been for PC...

$50 and $60 wouldn't be too odd...or $40 and $50, but this is a bigger gap than normal.

Microsoft did it with Shadowrun that come out last week-- $60 on 360 and $50 on PC...

for us french, the console game begin at60€ and can up to 62-64€ if they have success.and the pc games is betwenn 38€ and 55€

AFAIK Microsoft has influence on the prices for XBox games and get's some provision from the reatails. So console games are more expensive, because there now are three parties who want some money.

Well console games generally just tend to be more expensive, doesn't matter if it is xbox, playstation or wii, they are just more expensive.. Why ? Dunno and i don't care.

The first year(s) after a console's release, the producer (Sony, M$) only gets money from software retails. If you would have to pay the full production costs of a console, nobody would buy a XBox or PS3.

I think the only different between the two is the price, which is strange, i plan to buy it on PC between you get nothing special for paying all that money.

I find it easier to play it on 360 controler and it would be easier to sweep the minions with the right stick so ill get it on 360.

You can use the 360 controller on the PC.
