I've noticed a few threads created by people having problems connecting/finding games online.
Just wanted to quickly reassure you that I'll make sure to do some investigating tomorrow when I am back in the office and provide you all with update regarding the situation. Apologies to anyone who's experienced problems. **Update** Hi everyone, We have been in constant communications with Quazal on this matter regarding the problems on PS3 and PC, however today has been a national holiday for them over there which has affected our ability to get to the bottom of some of these issues. However the situation does appear to be getting better, and we can see numerous players playing the game right now online with numbers increasing by the hour. Regarding Xbox360, there still appears to be sporadic occurrences of players not being able to find games, particularly on Co-op, our QA team are currently investigating this and are in comms with Microsoft. I hope to be able to give you a more detailed update tomorrow, and again please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I've played a few coop missions on ps3..... but most of the time i have teh connection error when you try to go online with this game!
I have to say, coop is fantastic, but i hope codemasters can fix these online issues for us! < every one Other people are stuck in menu? when inviting? i do, you have to wait long and then you can invite... and then you have to wait again for your friends list =_= But i like the game! single player is very good! and coop to, except for te connection problem. Again......Hope codemasters can fix this! grtz

Omg this post is funny, he comes in acting like it's just one or two threads mentioning small connection issues and the only people who profess the ability to get into games without tons of problems are a couple of fanboys who are probably lying or hosting themselves
Was he trying to be funny, or is CM really that obtuse about ignoring problems? EVERYONE is having connection issues, the game's netcode for xbox live (I dunno how it's working on PS3, but connection issues w/ games are usually worse for them than us) is busted, it needs major overhaul, and this is the kind of thing that merits an immediate hotfix, not some patch at an undisclosed time in "weeks." Well, really it's the kind of major issue that should be solved long before a game is released, but then I guess CM didn't want to take the time for a Beta. |

Lag problems like this don't get into releases ideally, and when they do the developer has a responsibility to throw all resources into fixing them, first thing. Its not like they don't have plenty of data on what's going on, and it's not too much work to fix (it's not like game companies don't know how to make stable netcode that doesn't wreck connections, look at EVERY OTHER SHOOTER) unless they made idiotic code in the first place which is their fault. They should have come out and say "We'll have a temporary patch out within the next week," not, "Yeah, we'll be releasing an update within the next couple of weeks." They just want to take a break after finishing the game but the thing is, they haven't finished the game. Since they obviously rushed it they should have planned for a full schedule of patch work for some time after the release. |
