Default Multiplayer questions

Ok, time for some of my nub questions

Are you able to respawn yourself in single player missions? I haven't been having a lot of luck trying to do so (everthing else respawns just fine) and I'm starting to wonder if this is another thing a clever developer decided we couldn't do.

Do we need to worry about respawning players on multiplayer maps? I looked at the example multiplayer.mssn file and there is no scripting in there at all so I assume we don't need to, but I wanted to check before wasting people's time.

Finally, what does the multiplayer camera do, when do we need one, and how many do we need? The example multiplayer mission doesn't have a camera, yet it has all three multiplayer modes enabled... Do we need one per side? Only one in the map? Does it matter where we put it? Is the example multiplayer.mssn buggy or did I miss something?

There is no respawns in single player only checkpoints. The respawns are for co-op and MP.

For MP I think all you need to worry about for spawning is placing spawn points.

And for the MP camera I think it is just the veiw you see while waiting to respawn, but I'm not 100% sure about MP stuff as I havn't yet tried to make one.

can you respawn the player in SP? 90% sure you cant. when you die, it spawns a camera, which the player "control" is moved to. as you cant then remove this camera, you can return control to another unit, its unlikely.

respawning in multiplayer? any "multi playable" unti will respawn automatically at a spawn point placed on the map. you dont need to write code to do it

the multiplayer camera is that cool camera that flies around the battlefield when you respawn. you dont have to have this camera. if you dont, the death camera is used, and then you insta switch to your new spawn point. Im 90% sure you only need one.

Thanks guys, that is sort of what I figured (except for the camera, had no idea about that). At least now I'll waste less of my buddies time when I test the mission.
