![]() Look at the very top and you'll notice somthing very important. Lua Scripting! The same thing that powers BlackShark, Garrys mod and HL2. Lua Scripting will bring untold power to OFP2's development and mods. It is known at this time the depth of use, but if it runs deep - this is a clear trump card over previous OFP code. Hi all,
Am surprised no-one has noticed yet that the Mission Editor for OFP: DR appears to use .lua files (see screeny below). I've been told that these are excellent for modders and scripters? ![]()

Well, this means, whatever Flashpoint 2 will be, we'll mod this into what it should be.
I can't wait for FlashPoint Realism Mod, the most downloaded Mod for OFPDR. (If Codies fail, then we'll do their job for free :P) One might argue - "A waste of a penny, for something homeborn." |

A couple of years back when Star Wars:Empire at War was released, the community within days of the demo release had remodded the entire demo, unlocked units that were hidden away and even reskinned several ships.
We will soon find out who the talented folk are out there, I'm sure. |
