If it's downloadable or you enter product code or w/e, thats why Xfire is better

Its downloadable and what you do is you just add the launch application to the list and it works. Auto updates and stuff

I'm in although I'll be getting the game for the 360 (social reasons), if it's really good I might get it on PC when price goes down though who knows

Yes, non-steam games auto-patch unless they're specified not to, they auto-patch by default.
