* The server is currently not passworded, if it was to ever become so for what ever reason (private filming, testing, to much public annoyance, hackers ect.). The Password will be smacktard

About:
This server has been provided to me for the community by our great sponsors at GameServers.com. They hope that this server helps to unify the community and provide a common play area for all of us to enjoy. They also hope to be the community's server provider and provide (perhaps) discounts to members of the Official OFP2 community (these forums).

This server is dedicated and located in NewYork. It's on a strong backbone and it location hopefully will provide playable pings from North America, deep into Europe.

Servers Aim:
It is my aim to get this server up with custom maps and have it used for game nights, reminiscing and just generally getting a few frags in on your favourite OFP: DR buddies.

I also hope to show GameServers.comthat the OFP2 community is a worth while community to support and hope to solidify the idea of providing discounted servers, as well as more free dedicated severs to the OFP2 community when OFP2 is released. Hopefully with your support by using this server and promoting the link to GameServers.com ( http://www.gameservers.com/?ref=1627203 ) they can see that we are worthwhile of support into the future. I would very much like to see a community server dedicated to testing mods, the second they come out, or new maps and scripts. So please help me, help the community - get in there and frag some noobies

Finding people to play against:
OFP1 is old and there is still people who lurk around and will join the server if you wait a bit. Your best bet to find people quickly is to join IRC and ask nicely if anyone wants to play some OFP1. That way people can Idle in IRC looking for people to play against rather then a server, while still talking, rather then sitting in a game lobby drinking coffee.

We should get some more peoples in the server, It's great fun to do some co-op together with peoples you know from irc or the forums

If you see me on irc, you can always contact me when you're interested in a co-op match.

I've been trying this whole day to get some peoples together for a cooperative game. I haven't find much peoples that are interested though. Anyway, i'll be available most times when i'm on irc.

but as noted in IRC then the general public wont be able to use the server. It's the same reason the server is not passworded at this time. However once I install your mods, the server will not have any public use.

hmmm...i guess you misunderstood me...i mean an admin password and not a passworded server, so we dont have to vote ourself to admin and can login as admin instead.

Furthermore, the addons which links i have sent to you are not destroying the public gaming on the server. Its not a mod, that are just some standard addons which nearly every OFP player has installed.

Looking forward to play a nice CTF mission with some of the OFP-DR heroes here!

No I understood you, however I want the server admin to be accessible to normal public people is what I was saying. I'm under the impression a admin password stops public voting of admins. I was just drawing parallels to a server password.

I'm attempting to upload the files now.
