My gfx card started to show black screen after a few minutes of play.. I know it has some memory issues (memory is probably damaged due to overheating) but in other games it usually happens after a few hours (black screen or flickering) i have an 8800GT. This didnt happen to me before 1.02 so i think this patch puts extra extra strain on the card.

I don't think a dxdiag report is gonna do much, people with various Window versions (so diff. DirectX) are having this problem. But here's mine, its a big file, so i used megaupload to get it. Edit : damn , i can't post links with my postcount yet.

just copy/paste in a new window.

To those who are having this problem, do you have v-sync turned on? If you don't try switching it on and let us know if you still have the problem.

I tried turning v-sync on and it made some difference in the main menu.
On = 70 degrees
Off = 76 degrees
However, you don't want to play FPS with v-sync on because the mouse movement gets sluggish. V-sync on/off shouldn't make a difference anyway (specially in the main menu). I bet removing the slow movement of the soldier and clouds in the main menu would be all thats needed. To be honest i don't see what it ads to the game anyway, just a static picture will do just fine.

Dxdiag is to many characters. Any particular parts you want?

I play with v-sync on (and don't have this problem, incidentally). The mouse movement isn't sluggish either.

well good for you, this problem is affecting isn't everyone I guess your lucky.

It does however affect my computer, V-sync on/off no difference.

I'll post my dx info later.

patch 1.02 is unplayable, I'd be concerned those not able to check temp info due to a general lack of tech ability will have problems with cards burning out later.

this should be regarded as an urgent fix.

honestly!.
