It makes their comments less 'official' than posting on the official forum. They probly feel more at ease to talk overthere.

Unofficially some one got a message from customer service that said the patch would be out the first week of November.

Codemasters priorities when it comes to communication:

1. Private Customer Service E-mail replies.
2. Facebook.
3. Twitter.
4. Bloke down the pub.
5. Helios/Forum.

I know a few people are thinking they are getting info second hand from Facebook, but basically what was communicated through the Facebook page was exactly the same as what I commincated on Friday afternoon on the forums. Namely that the patch/title update fixlist is nearly finalised and we hope to release it soon.

Whilst we hope to get the PC patch out the first week of November (I think we are currently aiming for the 5th), we don't want to put the date out widespread as we still waiting back from MS and Sony regarding a date they can commit to for rolling out the title update on the consoles.

Please note that the above does NOT mean that the PC patch release date is dependant on MS or Sony, that is not the case at all. It does also not mean that the list of fixes in the patch/title update will be identical from platform to platform.

Hope this clears things up a bit.
