I just finished to play my Dirt 2, something keep bugging me..Y OFDR doesn't look as good as Fking Dirt & Grid does? i mean the environment on those 2 look 10 time more realist compare to OFDR..even the fking water!! vehicles are even more detailed & the physic aswell! OFDR is newer and took more time to develop so Y doesn't it look better?
most people & CM claim that its Bcuz grid & Dirt are linear games and OFDR is a open world and that demands more power from the ego engine..But that's BS simply Bcuz pples didn't really get to freeroam so its technically linear aswell.. i'm aware that u can freeroam only at one particular moment on the game..but only once! & there isn't any battle going on outside ur mission area..CM claim there would be..that's a lie...its now obvious this is a Beta..its should have been delayed again.. ohh and they better release the SDK soon |

A) Just because you don't get to freeroam on the console doesn't mean the tech is the same. OFP: DR uses some streaming tech apparently sampled from there racing games, but modded to support a large landscape and all directions. A person can turn on a dime, a care cannot - and such is the other reason for the tether.
B) You should keep your thread to one point. If you want to whine about "lies" use one of the 100's of existing threads. C) Hindsight is 20/20 - should have is a lame response.

They never said that there was going to be an SDK or modding! In fact my first post on the forum nearly 6 months ago was this:
http://community.codemasters.com/for...4&postcount=33 Since then they still have never said, anywhere that there will be an SDK or full modding. In fact the only time that Codemasters have ever been asked about it on film, Clive fobbed them off by talking about the mission editor, which everyone knows is not an SDK. I can see Codemasters being called liars again for not producing an SDK - yet they never said they would release one! |
