Talking Cheers for a Good Game.

Happy with the game, even though it may not have lived up to all the hype that was publicized I haven't seen or purchased a game released in the past 15 years which has achieved all it was designed for.

looking forward to the patches that will fix certain issues and have faith that dev's will listen to the community in regards to DLC and other options that are needed to make the title even stronger.

Its a shame that these forums have descended into a slagging match between tards but by the looks of it the moderators are starting to fire up as such and clean up useless time waiting abuse that has gone on over the past few weeks since the games release.

Looking forward to many hours of play.

It is pretty dece, albeit rough around the edges. Also, I just can't help but to sit back and laugh at how comical the narcissism that "Gamers" exhibit. Let them flame away, it let's them think that someone actually cares about what they're saying.

Warning Dev forum alt accounts spotted !!!

Seriously this game is a great one and can only get better with time.

sure there are things that need fixing and hopefully the patch will address alot of those issues.

The lack of dedicated server support is worriying, but i think hardcore OFP2 will stick it out. But only time will tell.

That it is. However, the majority of games I played in the original game were P2P on GSA and that was fine for me and a lot of people. But, still I can see where the option of a dedicated server is nice.

My biggest disappointments were: 1 Island. The original game had 4. It wouldn't be that terrible if Skira were more varied in environment.

2 factions. Again, 3 in the original, 4 counting civilians.

Textures. Some of them are a bit too low and I'd like to see higher resolutions on them.

But, what I think the game did well was command interface. I like it. It does display a bit of console-itis but that can be fixed. Quite frankly, not many of us who were squadleaders in the original or in the ArmA series gave out movement orders while sprinting so it's not that terrible.

It's over all.. fun. I mean, despite it's glaring problems I still have quite a bit of fun with the game.

God how buggy was Bf2 when it was first released, plus the good ol dolphin diving days in the 1.2 patch.

It took DICE 4-5 years of development and work to finally release a final patch that has made the game probably one of the best team based arcade style FPS battle sims out there.

I have faith that the dev wont screw us around and WILL listen to the community because without us they dont have a market to sell to so they are out of work.

As to all the flaming trolls out there MEH!! i guess you have to take the good with the bad, so let them try to increase their e-penis size via abuse and pathetic posts.

On some other forums that I'm a member of, I've noticed that even people who hated it initially are now starting to say "actually I'm really starting to get into this"

Its a shame that more PC testing wasn't done, as it would have made peoples first experiences far better if the minor, but annoying bugs had been ironed out.

I remember the BF2 launch, and it was very much like the OFP : DR launch. BF2 hasn't done too badly has it.

*cringe* That I do. I also recall 2142 being more enjoyable and it's still not fixed to this day.

Lol at the alt dev account. nah I'm just a mature age gamer who has spent way to many years reading flame posts. I'd like to see half these idiots try to produce a product of the magnitude of OPFDR and make it 100% finished on time, within budget across variable platforms.

All good things come to those who wait.

moderator locks this thread dont care, got to say thanks anyway.
