Default Why is the map so blurry and low res ?

You can't even spot tree's on it. On Arma's map you can spot potential cover etc easily but how are you meant to move your ai guys about the map stealthily when you can't even spot basic cover such as an area of trees.

It's not blurry & low res @ 1920x1200, you need to press F1 for advanced graphics options, there you can set everything to high etc & the game looks good.

Yeah, the map is a bit ... fuzzy. Graphical settings don't alter it at all. It does mean that you aren't opening it three times every minute just in order to look for some trees to hide behind, though. I suppose a perfect map that shows every feature of landscape seems a bit omniscient and, well, video gamey.

lol at you completley missing the point

i am talking about the MAP, the thing you look at when you press M

i am running the game maxed out at highest res, it obviously makes no difference to the MAP.

How do you make the altitudes so dark like that on ArmA II? Whenever I plan an assault I'm always looking for elevation but I can never find it. It's so annoying!

Remember that in Arma II if you so much as take a crawl out of the woods you'll have your a ss handed to you on a plate. Also, you often have to travel 4 clicks to get to the next piece of action, so you need to be able to plan your route in real detail. I don't think anyone's still under the impression that you have to do this in DR.
