Here is a good test of graphics a Dragon Rising.
This is a pretty hefty system, so it appears that most gamers will be running at lower resolutions and settings to get decent frame rates. Since I am forbidden to include a link until have 15 posts, I will do the best I can to provide factual informaton: Test setup This test results from Elite Bas - tards web site: - Intel Core i7 940 (2.93GHz, HyperThreading enabled, Turbo mode disabled) - 6GB (3x 2GB) G-Skill 1333MHz DDR3 memory - Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (Socket LGA 1366, PCI Express 2.0) - 250GB Western Digital Caviar SE16 hard drive - Pioneer Blu-Ray drive - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (Core 216) 896MB - AMD Radeon HD 5870 1GB - AMD Radeon HD 4890 1GB - 1000W Thermaltake Toughpower power supply - Cooler Master 690 ATX system chassis - Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition) The following drivers were used: - NVIDIA GeForce driver 191.03 WHQL was used for all testing on NVIDIA graphics boards - AMD Catalyst 9.9 was used for all testing on the AMD Radeon HD 4890 - AMD Catalyst 8.66 RC6 beta driver was used for all testing on the AMD Radeon HD 5870 ================================================== ======== 1920x1200 - 4x AA - 8X AF Radeon HD 5870 = avg. 58.2 fps - min. 51 fps GeForce GTX 260 = avg. 28.9 fps - min. 24 fps Radeon HD 4890 = avg. 19.6 fps - min. 17 fps 2560x1600 - 4x AA - 8x AF Radeon HD 5870 = avg. 39.1 fps - min. 30 fps GeForce GTX 260 = avg. 19.5 fps - min. 16 fps Radeon HD 4890 = avg. 16.4 - min. 13 fps Sorry for the long post. They're very shiny I'll give them that, but technically (texture resolution, bump mapping, parralax mapping etc etc etc) they're a bit dated ... reminds me of oblivion.
