Even more...
![]() Kiska Island is used for the tarrain of the in game Island Skira!!! Because of it's size and geografie it's perfect for what CM was intented to do with the game (settings, story, aso...) But Kiska Island has a problem, it's soooo boring, there are not even trees AND it has no story potential !!! damn.... But there was Sakhalin Island which have this beautiful story background and looks really nice. So they took the story, the vegetation, the houses and everything else on Kiska Island, relocated it at the north of Japan between Japan and Sakhalin and bang.... You have an fictive Island named Skira with the shape and tarrain of Kiska Island and with the story and all other things from Sakhalin Island!!

All of the numbers they gave for time taken to cross the island seem a bit off. Like the 4 hours to walk, 2 hours to drive across (maybe they were driving on a really weird road network that had em going all over the place while the guy walking went in a straight line. As far as island length, it seems like it'd be about 60 miles long, 2 or 3 wide (coming out to around 134 square miles). Flying 60 miles in in 20 minutes gives us 180 mph, which is a good number for a chopper. I have a feeling jets will be AI, just called in for strikes.
