Maybe it would be a good idea to allow adding sides as addons. That IS actually the power of OFP - the customability. You can change everything. A few days ago a guy made sky addon, which changes sky textures. It looks great.
If they make adding sides possible, that would solve all problems mentioned in this thread. Don`t you think?

NETHERLANDS!!!!!!!!! (caps)
i think there are enough troop-addons downloadable via OPF.info etc, if you want delta force dudes, download them, if you want the duth militairy (DON'T DO IT!!!) you can download it... there are swedisch mods, italian police mod's (G8) etc, so there is no worry rhere won't be any side left out... |

I can see an advantage of more than the two basic sides and the neutrals that OFP had for certain projects that fit outside conventional modern warfare. One example is a mod idea I once tried to implement in a few missions based on the PnP RPG called Twilight 2000. More than two factions against each other would be very handy indeed. Same goes for anyone interested in say... four-way team multi-player matches for something fun. But for most modern day combat in general you don't see more than two basic sides. Many countries forming opposing coalitions maybe, but a conflict where three or more armies face off on each other isn't exactly a common thing.

Sorry if I seemed a bit off, we only sent in 4000 at the start of Korea, not a large force I know. However this did highlight my own ignorance of who else was involved and made me today look up just who else was.
The majority of forces were of course U.S, but forces were also provided by: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Columbia, Ethiopia, France, Great Britain, Greece, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Phillipines, South Africa, Thailad, Turkey. Medical Aid was also provided by Denmark, India, Italy, Norway, and Sweden. So sticking with two sides would be easier for the developers if it does prove to be in this era, as all the above would provide just a bit of a headache!

Haha, yes... would just be a mess keeping all the uniforms in your head too...
But i want more Swedish addons for Ofp, the White Night addon isn't finnished yet i belive, and there are noone else who does Swedish soldiers. And I think I've read somewhere that Sweden has some of the best trained troops in the world, even better than the U.S. The only difference is that U.S got 1000 times more than us
