As someone said, never move the xbox around while there's still a disc in the drive - all kinds of horrible things can happen! Tiny scratches shouldn't be an issue though, any more than CD's. If you get disc read errors, then worry. Feel free to add me if you like, I play UK time and am happy to help out. ![]() Rampaging what time zone are you in? And Squeaky, what's the time dif between UK & Oz?

I would be more than happy to show you the ropes, always up for spreading the knowledge my friend. But remember that 'hardcore' mode is the way to approach the game.
My forte is precision, long range shooting and scenario evaluation Add me if you would like to learn...Gamertag below¬

if you're unsure about downloading patches try going into xbox memory settings and finding the option to clear cache. in clearing your xbox cache you will delete any current updates so the next time you insert the disc whilst connected to xbox live you will be asked if you want the patch/update again. this way you can be sure youve got it and will know what to look out for in the future

cheers for the info tim. Put disk in today and it asked for update. I said yes and it has done it. Hard for me to know what has changed as i'm new but i'm glad it has done it. More power to codemasters for puting in the effort to give us a different sort of game. Love Bad Company but you do need something a bit more taxing sometimes.

main thing is your coming into the game at good time due to patches sorting out the issues that had appeared on release. I would say hold off on buying guide book unless you like collecting them since you can find most info on here, or net in general.
im getting battlefield when it comes out as well, but its to go along side flashpoint and mw2.
