It's good in some ways, bad in others. I think really the choices they made were right, but at the same time I kinda wish it was more like the old series, less modern locations etc.

I think its peaks and troughs at the moment. Interestingly enough, I opened a thread on this in the LMA General forum just after the first episode. Its not too bad sometimes, I enjoyed the second one, missed the third and only just managed to catch the end of the Daleks.
Sadly, Daleks were a short lived experience in the new series. It saddens me how they can wipe out such a constitutional baddie as the daleks so easily.... its been a bit dodgy at times, but quite good at others. I'll keep watching though since theres a bit of eye candy on display, but I'm not overwhelmed by it.

I doubt that Daleks will be gone for good.
About the modern locations thing, you gotta remember, when Doctor Who was first broadcast, most of the earth locations WHERE modern... they are just old now :P I agree it hasn't all been great, however considering it's long absence from TV the creators must still be testing the waters.

![]() I watched the oldest Dr Who just the other week, it was brilliant.(with the daleks in) The new series doesn't interest me at all, the only baddies I like are the Dalek's and apparently they've allready been wiped out in one episode. ![]() So I won't be watching it at all now. |

Hmm... that series seems to have a really huge fanbase. It might even be worth looking for some old eps.
