Default Final Fantasy III

I've never really been too interested in the 'retro' Final Fantasy games, but with the uniqueness / novelty that is the DS machine, I'd thought there'd be no better chance than now to start playing them.

The intro certainly lives up to what I have known and loved from the FF's of the PS2 era; sure, it's not graphically brilliant, but considering that it's a DS, I can't see how it could look any better.

I've not got too far into the game yet, but, based on first impressions, it's becoming just as enjoyable as any other FF I've played.

I might even stretch out to say that the DS is worth buying alone for this game; mind you, that would only apply if you're a fan of the FF series of course.

The only fault with the game so far is that I'm still working my way through FF XII, which I only bought not too long ago!

Im enjoying the game. Ive had it a few days but havnt actually got very far yet, though the Job system is interesting, its classic FF gameplay and also the story isnt bad at all. Especially considering the fact its twenty years old.

Mind one of the last final fantasy games I bought was crystal chronicles. ANY story is better than that . And of course, the graphical upadate is very nice aswell.

Just in case you didnt know either, I think its almost confirmed that a remake of FFIV will be making its way to the DS with a graphical update similar to that of III .

I do like the classic FF gameplay - something that I miss on FFXII, what with its new overhauled battle system.

Didn't realise about FFIV - I'll probably end up getting it, just for completion of the series if nothing else.

With the DS being the first ever handheld console that I have owned, it definitely is, and I quote from the back of the (game) box, a 'wholly new experience' of FF for me.
By that, I basically mean that I'm happy that I can now play FF whilst on the move!

I got a DS recently too, altough i have to send it back due to two b0rked pixels
BUT i did get to play with a few of the games i bought (Lunar Knights, FF3, Children of Mana)
All of them were great fun!
So FF3 is totally worth it.
